1. What makes the Maybach SL so special?
The Maybach SL takes the already luxurious Mercedes-AMG SL convertible to the next level. Expect an even more posh cabin with premium leather, extra comfy seats, and high-end tech features. Soft-close doors, a plush air suspension, and other Maybach goodies will make it the ultimate open-air cruiser for the ultra-wealthy.
2. How much will the Maybach SL cost?
Pricing is expected to start around $175,000 and go up to $225,000 depending on the trim and options. That's a big jump over the AMG SL, but you're paying for the Maybach badge and exclusivity.
3. What's under the hood?
Details are still scarce, but the Maybach SL will likely get the most powerful AMG powertrain options. A hybrid setup with over 800 hp seems likely, as Mercedes has shown with the S63 E Performance. A V12 is doubtful though, as the competition has moved to electrified V8s.
4. When can I get one?
The Maybach SL is expected to hit showrooms in the second half of 2025 as a 2026 model. Spy shots show Mercedes is already testing it, so a debut in 2024 for the 2025 model year is possible.
5. How will it look different from the regular SL?
Expect a blinged-out exterior with more chrome, unique wheels, and Maybach badges. The grille, hood ornament, and trapezoidal exhaust tips will help distinguish it. Inside, there will be more color and trim options than the Mercedes Manufaktur can offer.
